LCIMLA’s Study Tour Focuses on Abbottabad’s Sustainable Development

ABBOTTABAD: The Lahore Cantonment Institute of Municipal and Land Administration (LCIMLA) organized its 14th Study Tour Course, offering participants a deep dive into the administration and development projects in Abbottabad district.

In an affable welcome, Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, Khalid Iqbal, extended greetings to the visiting participants.

Moreover, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Jabril Raza provided an extensive overview, shedding light on key areas of focus and development within the district.

The course encompassed topics, including the transformation of the Clean Water System, Solid Waste Management, the creation of Pedestrian Pathways in Markets, development initiatives at Shierwan Park, and the revitalization of Suhail Park Slaughterhouse.

In addition, the visiting group also emphasized the significance of the Langra/Dhamtor By Pass road for tourists journeying toward Galyat, along with initiatives to enhance tourist facilities in Galiyat and Thandiani.

Similarly, the efforts to address the impacts of population growth and infrastructure development were also underlined, highlighting the district’s unwavering dedication to sustainable progress.

Furthermore, the participants were briefed on matters such as building plan implementation, strategies to combat illegal housing societies, the importance of the KP-SEP project, measures to curb illegal mining, and initiatives for the preservation of forests.
