LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced the completion of the Samanabad underpass, a project that faced numerous challenges including severe rains. The announcement was made through a tweet on August 2, 2023.

The underpass, which has been opened for traffic, was visited by the concerned Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The design of the underpass was altered to save 78 valuable trees, showcasing the LDA’s commitment to environmental conservation.
Despite the challenges posed by severe weather conditions, the LDA team, led by DG LDA Ali Randhawa, managed to complete the project. The tweet commended the team for their hard work and dedication, stating that they deserved praise for their efforts.
The completion of the underpass is expected to ease traffic congestion in the area and contribute to the overall development of Lahore.
