LDA Demolishes Illegal Commercial Structures

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) Town Planning division dismantled multiple buildings on Monday as part of a significant operation against unauthorized construction and commercialization activities.

As per the details, the Director of Town Planning IV, Ms. Sidra, oversaw the demolition activity together with her staff.

The LDA team was accompanied by large police contingents and other officials from relevant departments.

The sources added that various illegal structures were razed down, including:

  • An illegal marquee structure at Ameerpura Jungian at Pine Avenue
  • Illegal commercial construction at 74 Naaz Town
  • Commercial construction at 103 A Naaz Town
  • An illegal commercial hall
  • A commercial hall near Audit & Account Main Road
  • An illegal commercial hall on Raiwind Road
  • Two illegal commercial markets close to Bashir Homes
  • An illegal commercial hall at Plot No.6 Block-B OPF Housing Society
  • A building at 275 UET Society, built against the permitted plan

The spokesperson from LDA stated that the operation would continue until all the illegal structures were removed.

He added that the department was working with impartiality and no one would be allowed to erect illegal structures without prior approval from LDA.
