LDA Recovers Millions of Rupees’ Worth of State Land

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority recovered its assets worth millions of rupees during a huge operation against illegal squatters in Garden Town on Friday.

A representative of the Authority has claimed that 18 plots of five Marla each, one of 10 Marla, and plot number 59 of ten kanals in Ali Block New Garden Town have been recovered.

The LDA also got back its eight kanal piece of land in Civic Center New Garden Town.

The LDA’s director general, Amir Ahmed Khan, declared that the Authority would continue to take action against illegal structures and encroachments.

He also indicated that if the land mafia did not vacate the government property on their own, the Authority would be ready to take harsh actions.

He further stated that the LDA would not tolerate unlawful development inside its bounds.

To counteract unlawful encroachments, enforcement teams and big equipment were utilized. A police unit was also present at the operation’s location.
