LAHORE: In a crackdown against illegal land conversion, encroachment, and violations of parking and building regulations, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 95 business premises on Abdul Haq Road in Johar Town.
The sealed properties include shops, commercial plazas, pharmacies, food points, and bakeries, among others. LDA had issued repeated notices to the owners of the properties to comply with the rules.
Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the LDA Director General and Lahore Commissioner, emphasized the need for strict action against defaulters of commercialization fees.
He directed field teams to make the enforcement mechanism tougher and hold regular meetings to achieve the targets.
According to court orders, concrete steps should be taken to upgrade and convert nine important roads of the provincial capital into model ones.
