LDA’s Plots Auction Garner Rs. 470.22 million

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) successfully conducted an auction of commercial and residential plots in various schemes, generating a revenue of Rs. 470.22 million.

According to the LDA, the auction included plots located in Jubilee Town, Mustafa Town, Tajpura, and LDA Avenue One.

The public auction was overseen by members of the auction committee, along with the presence of the Director of Finance, Director of LDA Avenue One, Director of Housing X, and other relevant officials. The terms and conditions of the auction were announced at the venue.

In a separate operation aimed at tackling encroachments and illegal constructions on parking spaces at Main Boulevard Allama Iqbal Town, the LDA demolished over 16 shops, including renowned brands, restaurants, food points, plazas, and other commercial properties. Additionally, 12 shops were sealed during the operation.

Despite receiving multiple notices to remove the encroachments, the violators failed to comply.

The joint operation between the LDA and MCL teams targeted the issue of unauthorized parking spaces and illegal encroachments throughout the city.

To ensure the smooth execution of the operation, a substantial police contingent accompanied the LDA team, while the LDA Director Town Planning Zone II, Asad-u-Zaman Dogar, supervised the operation.
