LHC Seeks Report on Lal Haveli Dispute from Federal Govt and ETPB

LAHORE: The Rawalpindi Bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) has asked the Federal government, the Chairman of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), and the deputy administrator of ETPB Rawalpindi to submit a report on a petition filed by the brother of former Federal Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, regarding the Lal Haveli dispute.

As per the petition, it is argued that the Chairman of ETPB has no authority to take action against Lal Haveli.

During the preliminary hearing of the case, the LHC Justice, Shahid Bilal Hasan, issued notices to the concerned authorities and asked them to respond within two weeks.
