Margalla Avenue to be Completed ‘Very Soon’ – Chairman CDA

ISLAMABAD: According to statistical evidence of an increase in population over the past few years, traffic in Islamabad has risen quickly, challenging the residents of Bhara Kahu, Bani Gala, and other areas to enter or exit Islamabad.

In this regard, Capt. (R) Usman Younis, chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), tweeted a video showing the development of the much-anticipated Margalla Avenue.

The caption of the tweet that appears with the video reads as follows:

Although the project’s inauguration dates were not disclosed by Chairman CDA, the progress suggests that the project would soon achieve its completion.

It is worth noting that Margalla Avenue is a 33-kilometer highway, providing an alternative to the Srinagar Highway and will make it easy for residents of Islamabad to access the N-5 National Highway.

Furthermore, the project, once completed, would link Sangjani (N-5 National Highway) and Bhara Kahu, making it a crucial part of the larger Rawalpindi Ring Road project.
