Matrukah Waqf Issues Notice to Sheikh Rasheed over Illegal Land Squatting

RAWALPINDI: The leader of the Awami Muslim League, Sheikh Rashid, is reported to have ‘usurped’ public property.

According to the sources, the government has issued a notice to Sheikh Rashid requesting to vacate the location, but Sheikh Rashid is firm in his claim and is unwilling to vacate.

In this context, Sheikh Rasheed has been called multiple times by the authorities but he refuses to respond to any official communication.

The Assistant Administrator, Mutrukah Waqf, Rawalpindi, has written to the Chairman, Mutrukah Waqf, that Sheikh Rasheed has encroached on government lands in Rawalpindi and is unwilling to leave.

Furthermore, it was also highlighted that the accused is also not paying the dues owed during this period.

The letter of the Assistant Administrator said that Sheikh Rasheed obtained this land through forgery.

However, since Sheikh Rasheed is refusing to cooperate in the investigation, the Chairman of Mutrukah Waqf was requested to take prompt action, according to the letter.
