MULTAN: In a recent meeting to review the performance of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Rana Ikhlaq Ahmed, the Additional Secretary of Housing South Punjab, emphasized that strict actions would be taken against illegal connections.
Presiding over the meeting, Rana Ikhlaq stated that the Secretary of Housing South Punjab, Qaisar Saleem, has directed the agency to utilize all available resources to improve the performance and recovery of the department.
To address the issue of illegal WASA connections, Rana Ikhlaq issued special instructions for their disconnection.
Furthermore, he directed the concerned officers to resolve all court cases promptly and develop a comprehensive plan to address public issues on a priority basis.
Ikhlaq also emphasized that providing clean drinking water and effective sewerage and rainwater drainage remains a top priority, and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.
