PESHAWAR: On Tuesday, Engr Hamid Shah, the Caretaker Minister for Planning, Development, and Public Health in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, visited the Public Health Engineering Department.
According to sources, during a meeting on departmental affairs and ongoing projects, the minister stressed the need to immediately repair non-functional water supply systems and complete any unfinished supply lines in order to provide water to the people.
He also received briefings from senior officials, including the Secretary of Public Health Engineering and Chief Engineers, on the department’s affairs and projects.
The minister emphasized that the department aimed to provide better services to the people and would not tolerate any corrupt elements, with strict action to be taken against them.
Besides, he also assured that all the grievances of people would be addressed and ordered the relevant departments to further enhance coordination mechanisms.
