ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Secretariat has decided to issue a show-cause notice to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for failing to commence work on Bagh-i-Dastoor, despite the groundbreaking ceremony being held last month.

National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf expressed his concern over the delay, emphasizing that no progress has been made on the project even after a month.

In a statement issued by the National Assembly Secretariat, it was revealed that the speaker has decided to issue a show-cause notice to the CDA.

The construction was approved by a special committee on June 25, and the CDA was repeatedly urged to initiate the work through letters, but no action has been taken so far.

Expressing his disappointment with the CDA’s negligence, the speaker has taken up the matter, and the parliamentary special committee overseeing the project has also demanded action against the CDA.
