NAB Launches Inquiry into Irregularities in Farah Gogi’s Housing Society

GUJRANWALA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has taken a step towards investigating alleged irregularities in a housing society owned by Farhat Shahzadi and her husband, Ahsan Jameel Gujjar, in Gujranwala City.

A team from Lahore NAB visited the G Magnolia Park Housing Society on Sunday to collect written complaints from residents regarding the reported irregularities.

According to official sources, the Gujranwala Development Authority (GDA) had previously referred a case to NAB, accusing the society owners of embezzling billions of rupees in the society’s affairs.

Furthermore, the GDA recommended legal action against the owners and other individuals involved.

Around 350 residents of the housing society have lodged written complaints with the NAB team, claiming that they had fully paid for plots and constructed houses.

However, the society administration allegedly deceitfully surrendered their plots to the GDA as collateral to obtain approval for the society’s design.

Following a thorough investigation into the allegations made by affected residents, the GDA discovered substantial evidence and subsequently forwarded the case to NAB for further legal action against the housing society.

It is worth noting that on May 27, based on the GDA’s report, the Gujranwala Sadar police registered a fraud case against Ms. Shahzadi, her husband, and other suspects.
