GWADAR: Gwadar’s Deputy Commissioner Izzat Nazir Baloch has announced that the thriving economic landscape in Gwadar, driven by investments from Chinese companies and interest from other nations, has caught the attention of Pakistan Railways.

The DC stated that the Railway is set to establish its own system in Gwadar to tap into the future economic boom.

According to sources, the railway department has appointed staff and established offices in Gwadar to strengthen its relationships with the Chinese firms operating in the Gwadar Port Authority, Gwadar Development Authority, and Gwadar Port and Free Zones.

In another development, Baloch announced that Gwadar would receive an additional 100 MW of electricity from Iran starting March 1st, leading to a round-the-clock power supply and boosting industries such as tourism and real estate.
