Pakistan Railways Recovers Land Worth Rs. 20 Million

PUNJAB: On Wednesday, the Pakistan Railways reclaimed one Kanal and five marlas of commercial land worth Rs 20 million from land squatters in the provincial capital of Punjab.

In an operation against land grabbers near the locomotive shed, the Railways personnel and a police squad recovered the department’s land, according to departmental sources.

“The action against encroachers will continue and every square inch of Railways land would be reclaimed,” stated PR Lahore Division Superintendent M Hanif Gulin.

In a similar resolve, the Pakistan Railway department earlier vowed to reclaim its land throughout the country and hinted at a mass operation against perpetrators.
