ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Association of Large Steel Producers (PALSP) has appealed to the government to enforce regulations and standards that ensure the production and distribution of safe and high-quality steel products.
The association emphasized the need for compliance with Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) regulations, which will lead to the development of secure construction materials, prevent material damage, and save lives.
To this end, the PALSP has released a report urging the government to restructure the PSQCA management and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Meanwhile, the Steel Manufacturers Association has requested the government and the PSQCA to take action against producers of substandard steel products that can harm structures and cause long-term damage to human life and material.
Furthermore, the PALSP’s demand for strict enforcement of regulations and standards comes as the demand for safe and high-quality steel products grows in Pakistan.
