LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved 3 development schemes across various sectors with a total estimated cost of Rs. 6,482.73 million.
The details suggest that these schemes were approved in the 49th PDWP meeting of the current fiscal year 2022-23, which was chaired by Ali Sarfraz Hussain, Chairman of the Planning & Development Board.
Furthermore, the development schemes approved during the meeting include the construction of a Judicial Complex (Courts Block) at Nankana Sahib for Rs. 1,651.834 million.
The second approved scheme is the establishment of the Nawaz Sharif Medical College, University of Gujrat, and the uplifting of Aziz Bhatti Shaheed DHQ as a Teaching Hospital in Gujrat at a revised cost of Rs. 3,653.596 million.
The third approved scheme is the widening, improvement, and reconstruction of (Phase-II) Jourian to Siral Harraka Dudhial Road, with a length of 24.25 Km, in District Rawalpindi at a revised cost of Rs. 1,177.300 million.
The officials added that these development schemes are expected to bring positive changes to various sectors and will help to improve the living standards of people in the province.
