Penalty of Rs. 10,000 Imposed on Patwari for Withholding ‘Fard’ of Applicant’s Property

PESHAWAR: In response to a complaint lodged by a resident of District Nowshera, Mian Noor Zeb Shah, the Right to Public Services Commission has taken action against a Patwari in Daag Ismail Khan.

The commission directed Deputy Commissioner Nowshera to resolve the issue after the complainant faced difficulties in obtaining the ‘Fard’ of his property.

Following the commission’s directives, Deputy Commissioner Nowshera took action and imposed a penalty of Rs. 10,000 on the Patwari Halqa/Mauza Daag Ismail Khel, identified as Sajid Shaukat, for failing to comply with the instructions and neglecting to provide the necessary ‘Fard’ to the applicant.

To ensure the implementation of the penalty, the Deputy Commissioner has issued orders to the District Accounts Officer Nowshera to deduct the fine from the monthly salary of the concerned Patwari.

Furthermore, the Chief Commissioner of the Right to Public Services Commission, Muhammad Salim Khan, commended the swift action taken by the Deputy Commissioner.

He also expressed the importance of holding district officers accountable for their subordinate staff’s negligence, as it would ultimately lead to improved accessibility of services for the public.
