ISLAMABAD: Officials of a private housing society were arrested after a local court dismissed their pre-arrest bail petitions on Monday.
Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Salman Akbar, Safeer Akbar, Ammar Zafar, and Chaudhry Masood, who are the owners and management officials of the society, were nominated in 5 FIRs registered against them by plot purchasers.
As per the details, the FIRs were filed for cheating, forgery, and using forged documents, while theĀ police took 5 owners/directors of the housing society, Ghauri Town, into custody.
The affected plot purchasers had booked plots in an upcoming sector of the housing society in 2012-13, but the management failed to hand them over the plots.
In 2021, possession of the plots was handed over to the affected buyers, who were serving and retired government officials.
However, the accused failed to make a compromise with the complainants, and the court dismissed their petitions seeking pre-arrest bail.
