LAHORE: The property transfer fee in the Punjab province has been set at 1% by Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in a recent meeting.
According to a statement, the CM stated that the revenue of the Punjab government would see a significant increase and that this decision was made in the interest of the masses.
“As part of the commitment to provide aid to the people, there will be an increase in registers across the province,” he stated.
The CM also remarked that this initiative will stimulate the building industry while strengthening the job market as well.
The decision was made during a meeting attended by SMBR Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Principal Secretary to the CM Muhammad Khan Bhatti, and Finance Secretary Iftikhar Amjad.
