PTI’s Ex-MNAs Evicted from Parliament Lodges, Privileges Revoked

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Secretariat has issued a directive to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to immediately revoke privileges from former members of the National Assembly of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

This decision came after these former MNAs have been officially de-notified by the Election Commission.

In addition to this, the allotment of parliament lodges to these members has also been canceled.

In the first phase of this process, notices have been served to 81 members, instructing them to vacate the lodges and clear any remaining dues within a week.

In case the members fail to clear the outstanding dues, any goods left behind will be confiscated.

This move is aimed at ensuring that only active members of the National Assembly are provided with these privileges and that they are not being misused by those who are no longer active members.
