Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Assesses Progress of CBD Project

LAHORE: Punjab’s caretaker Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, visited the Central Business District (CBD) project site to assess the progress of its second and third phases, as well as the Main Boulevard linkage to Bab-i-Pakistan and Walton Road.

During the visit, the CBD’s Chief Executive Officer, Imran Amin, provided a briefing on the project’s development, with the presence of Executive Director (Technical) Riaz Hussain.

CEO Imran Amin stated that the CBD Punjab is currently working on the development of phases II and III, along with establishing a connection between the Main Boulevard Lahore and Bab-i-Pakistan, Walton Road.

Furthermore, flyovers will be constructed at Ghora Chowk, Walton Railway Crossing, and Bab-i-Pakistan to address traffic congestion issues, while a roundabout will be constructed at Kalma Chowk.

He reiterated the commitment of the Central Business District (CBD) in Punjab to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects that will significantly benefit the people of Punjab.

Recognizing the importance of timely completion, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi stressed the need for providing maximum relief to the public.

He instructed the authorities to ensure that the newly constructed roads are wide enough to accommodate the growing traffic load.

Before the CBD visit, Chief Minister Naqvi also inspected the Shahdara Chowk project, where he received a briefing from Lahore Development Authority (LDA) officials.
