LAHORE: The Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department has launched an extensive property tax survey in the province, including Multan, following the directives of the Punjab government.
According to sources, this initiative aims to reassess the valuation of residential, luxury, and commercial properties.
To facilitate the survey process, property tax forms are being distributed to all property unit owners.
These taxpayers are required to furnish comprehensive property information to the designated officer at their respective excise offices within 15 days of receiving the forms.
Director of Excise, Iftikhar Ahmad Bhali, shared with the media that the last property tax survey was conducted back in 2014.
By the schedule provided by the Punjab government, the process of assigning unique identification numbers to all property units is scheduled to commence on August 17.
