A meeting was presided over by Minister Housing Mian Aslam in this regard.

In the meeting, he shared that the government, in collaboration with PLDC, will build low-cost houses in Punjab.

He also added that both organizations had the same goal and after the merger, they will perform more efficiently and will be easy to manage.

The Minister also asked the concerned authorities to come up with a plan for the merger and the department’s business policies.

It is important to mention that PLDC was established in 2010 and was responsible to maintain low-cost housing programs in the province.

Later in 2019, the PTI government established PHATA for the same purpose.
