CDA has stated that the Rawal Dam Interchange flyover would be open to normal traffic in one week.
The construction was supposed to be done earlier, but torrential rains have caused the asphalt work to be delayed.
According to a press statement from the CDA, the project had reached its final phases due to management’s special attention, and filling work had been finished on both interchange ramps.
An official of CDA stated that construction on the project has already been completed and inspections performed.
The management has given the guidelines to relevant departments asking for an acceleration of work.
The press statement noted that every resource should be used to ensure that the project is finished on schedule.
A few weeks back, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited the building site ordering an investigation and stressed that it must be completed by September of this year.
Since then, the CDA administration has been working hard to finish it before PM’s deadline.
