Rawalpindi Cantonment Board’s Khuli Katchehry Flooded with Complaints

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) hosted its first khuli katchehry during which residents voiced their worries about the absence of essential amenities including clean drinking water and adequate sanitization.

The residents also raised their concerns about broken streetlights, ineffective sewage systems, and unlawful structures.

In addition, difficulties with tax bills, purchases, construction plans, tax assessments for land, and street maintenance were also brought up.

As per the details, Imran Gulzar, Syeda Umaima Ali, and Malik Muneer Ahmed, vice presidents of the RCB, gave the citizenry assurances that the problems will be resolved.

Even after 9 years working in the RCB, women residents complained about water costs and the lack of employment regularization.

Furthermore, a woman claimed to be a widow with a store adjacent to her home for which she had received a tax notice for Rs. 150,000.
