RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has taken decisive action by issuing notices to the owners of 7 YouTube channels and marketing companies for their involvement in advertising illegal housing societies, raising concerns of potential misinformation among the public.
The entities served notices include Tajir International, Property Nama, Raja Ishtiaq Creative Real Estate, Octa Plus, MBK Daily Routine Vlogs, Manzoor Hussain Official, and Gondal Group.
According to an RDA spokesperson, these YouTube channels were found to be actively promoting illegal housing schemes, such as Agro Farm, Faisal Hills Phase-II, New Airport Town, Ruden Enclave, Rawal Enclave, Al-Haram City, and Blue World City, thereby creating a misleading environment for the public.
The act of advertising such unauthorized housing schemes without obtaining prior approval from the authority is a clear violation of Rule 46 (1) as outlined in the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules-2021.
