Real Estate Affairs Earned CDA Rs. 40 Million Revenue During July 2022

The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) Building Control Directorate earned Rs. 40 million in revenue in the previous month, says the spokesman.

According to the details, the profit was received on account of construction plan approvals, issuing of completion certificates, commercial charges, and other areas including fines for non-conforming use.

Furthermore, with 20 completion certificates for residential buildings and more than Rs. 100,000 in relation to a completion certificate for a commercial building during the month of July, the Building Control Directorate of the CDA brought in over Rs. 2 million in revenue, while 10 building plans brought in Rs. 1.5 lac.

Similarly, the directorate received Rs. 2 million by providing NOCs to 55 residential structures, while issuing NOCs to 38 commercial buildings garnered over Rs. 35 million in income.

During the same time period, the authority slapped a Rs. 1.5 million penalty on the owners of two structures for by-law infractions.

The official further stated that instructions had been given to ensure tight financial discipline in order to make the authority financially stable.
