Reconstruction Work of Demolished Houses in Sindh to Start Soon

SUKKUR: Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Provincial Minister for local government, assured flood-affected families that they would be re-housed soon.

The minister stated during a visit to the Rohri relief camp that the repair work of the houses would begin as soon as the water subsides and that the Sindh Government would make every effort to secure enough financial aid for those affected.

He claimed that the province of Sindh had already been designated as a disaster-hit. The most important part of the restoration process would start after the relief work, which was going on in full swing.

According to an estimate, the record floods brought on by monsoon rains have killed at least 1,191 people, including 399 kids.

The floods destroyed infrastructure, roads, businesses, and residences while 2 million acres of farmland have also been devastated.
