RWMC Instructed to Clear Encroachments and Enhance Cleanliness in Murree

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) has been instructed by the district administration to clear encroachments and transform Murree Road into a model of cleanliness.

The request was made by Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatha, who emphasized the need for the city to be a role model in cleanliness from Faizabad’s general bus stand to Mareer.

The relevant departments will collaborate to ensure that all union councils are clean.

Furthermore, the commissioner urged the RWMC to establish additional transfer stations throughout the city to ease the transport of garbage to the landfill site.

The district administration also stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness in Murree and the tehsils. Murree Road, in particular, will receive special attention as it is being designated as a model road for cleanliness.
