Second Phase of Bahawalpur Ring Road Project to Begin Soon

BAHAWALPUR: Punjab Governor, Balighur Rehman, has confirmed that the second phase of the Bahawalpur ring road project will soon commence.

As per the details, this phase will stretch from Bindra Pulli on Multan Road to Bahawalpur Railway Station and is estimated to cost over Rs. 10 billion.

Governor Rehman expressed his commitment to utilizing all available resources for the development of the city during a meeting with a delegation led by former parliamentarian, Syed Tabish Alwari.

The delegation, which included representatives from the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Bahawalpur Gymkhana, discussed various development projects and initiatives with the governor.

Rehman also announced an increase in the central annual grant for Sadiq Public School (SPS) in Bahawalpur from Rs. 20 million to Rs. 60 million.

Additionally, he pledged to establish an IT center at the new industrial estate in Bahawalpur and introduce Holy Quran teaching in private schools across Punjab.

During his visit, Governor Rehman also offered condolences to the family of the late Hafiz Muhammad Younus, a prominent local traders’ leader who recently passed away.
