MULTAN: Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, secretary of housing for South Punjab, praised the Parks and Horticulture Authority’s (PHA) ‘Green Restaurant’ initiative and declared that the innovative concept would offer residents the finest recreational opportunities.
On Monday, he visited Qasim Fort along with DG PHA Asif Rauf Khan, Additional Secretary Housing Rana Ikhlaq Ahmed, and other officials to assess the status of the PHA’s ‘Green Restaurant’ project, which was being built in the 2 coaches of a train.
He said that the concept would not only give residents the finest recreational space but would also contribute to the city’s increased beauty.
The DG also provided a briefing on the occasion and stated that the restaurant would be operational shortly following the bidding procedure.
He said that Capt (Retd) Saqib Zaffar, the Additional Chief Secretary for South Punjab, had assigned him the duty of launching several initiatives to increase the department’s self-sufficiency.
Besides, he said that the department had acquired two railways coaches, one of which would be positioned at Qasim Fort and the other at Goal Bagh Park for a similar project.
