Sindh Government Launches Web Series to Promote Cleanliness in Megacity

KARACHI: The Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, under the SWEEP project, has recently unveiled a web series, along with an anthem and two awareness videos, which Minister inaugurated for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon.

Minister Shah highlighted that the web series aims to educate the public about their responsibility to keep the megacity clean. He acknowledged that there are still complaints about poor sanitation in certain areas and emphasized the need for immediate improvement.

He expressed the belief that with the cooperation of citizens, the city’s cleanliness can be significantly enhanced. The collaborative effort between the SWEEP Project and the launch of the 4-episode web series, anthem, and two awareness commercials aim to achieve this goal.

Furthermore, Minister Shah mentioned that the sanitation efforts had been extended beyond Karachi, as the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board has also taken charge of sanitation arrangements in other cities across Sindh.

Minister Memon, highlighting the importance of cleanliness in Islam, emphasized that institutions cannot succeed without the support of the people. He stressed the urgent need for awareness campaigns to bring about a positive change in social attitudes.
