Sindh High Court Expresses Resentment Over Illegal Constructions

KARACHI: On the application regarding the illegal possession and sale of 14 amenity plots at Korangi Crossing, the Sindh High Court has ordered the petitioner to include the Cantonment Board Korangi Creek as a party within 7 days.

The application was heard by a two-person bench presided over by Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi.

According to the petitioner’s attorney, 14 amenity plots in Sector 30-A Korangi Township were bought and sold illegally.

“Who will be held accountable if tall buildings collapse? It is concerning when properties are built illegally in certain areas,” the court remarked.

Justice Rizvi questioned whether the Cantonment Board had approved the construction or not.

No one will check China Cutting, said Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi in his remarks. “Looking at the report will make you feel guilty as I reside in front of this region,” said the judge.

The Korangi Creek Cantonment Board ought to be invited. The petitioner was instructed to add the Cantonment Board Korangi Creek as a party before the court adjourned the hearing until September 22.
