Sindh Minister Plans to Computerize Housing Society Records for Transparency

KARACHI: Sindh Minister of Industries and Cooperative Department, Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, announced plans to computerize the records of cooperative housing societies to promote transparency in the transfer of plots and other matters.

He visited the Meerut Cooperative Housing Society near Gulshan-e-Maymar to praise their use of biometric transfer and encourage other societies to follow their example.

The minister shared his intention to facilitate the transfer of plots through NADRA to prevent illegal and double allotments.

He emphasized the importance of computerizing society records and prioritizing the resolution of residents’ issues.

The Minister was accompanied by the Registrar of Cooperative Housing Societies, Muhammad Hussain Baloch.

During the visit, he also inaugurated the Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Park in the Meerut Housing Cooperative Society and was welcomed by the society’s office bearers.

The Secretary of Meerut Society, Dr. Murshid Raza, informed the Minister about ongoing development work in the society.

Furthermore, the minister urged the Registrar of Cooperative Housing Societies, Muhammad Hussain Baloch, to visit other societies as well and pledged to address any issues they may face.
