Speedy Clearance of Pending Land and Revenue Cases Ordered

LAHORE: Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) Punjab, Zahid Akhtar Zaman, presided over an important meeting in the Provincial Disaster Management Authority’s (PDMA) office.

During the meeting, the matters related to land acquisition, pending court cases, revenue recovery, and audit were discussed.

The SMBR stated that the Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners from across Punjab would be responsible for the pending court cases in the Supreme Court, High Court, and other courts, adding that they would also prepare and update the system in the offices for court cases.

Zaman also suggested that non-computerized locations’ data should be computerized at the earliest and urged the DCs to visit the field and keep a close check on all matters to ensure digital Girdawari and timely revenue recovery.

The officer also issued directives to all officers involved in the audit to improve the mechanism.

He also cautioned that he would personally visit various districts to review the process of digital surveillance and revenue recovery, and to ensure timely guidance and assistance in online facilitation.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary of Tax, Secretary of Privatization, Member Tax, DG PDMA Faisal Fareed, and DG PLRA, as well as Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners from Punjab.
