Supreme Court Questions PAF’s Involvement in Real Estate Business

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has called on the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to present the main culprits behind the Fazaia Housing scam in Karachi.

According to sources, the case was heard by a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Umer Ata Bandial, who was joined by Justice Athar Minallah.

The NAB prosecutor informed the court that the accused in the scam had been released on bail by the Sindh High Court (SHC) with no security.

Justice Minallah asked whether the NAB had taken action against the Pakistan Air Force for its role in the fraud, pointing out that the Constitution does not allow the Pakistan Air Force to participate in the real estate business.

Furthermore, the chief justice added that the Pakistan Air Force was the primary accused in the case, but not the only one involved.

The court adjourned the matter for an indefinite period and requested the NAB prosecutor to bring forward the facts and the names of the main accused involved in the fraud.
