UNDP Delegation Meets with Chief Secretary to Discuss Merged Areas Governance Program

A delegation from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) met with Chief Secretary Imdadullah Bosal to discuss the ongoing activities and interventions of the Merged Areas Governance Program.

The meeting, which included officials from the UNDP such as Program Manager Raluca Eddon, Chief Strategic Advisor Javed Iqbal Khan, and Lead Economic Advisor Musharraf Rasool Cyan, was also attended by the additional chief secretary, secretary home, and secretary Local Government.

During the discussion, both sides expressed their commitment to improving public welfare in the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through the program’s initiatives.

As per the details, the UNDP’s Merged Areas Governance Program is designed to enhance the capacity of the provincial government to effectively and efficiently provide public services while also supporting efforts to promote peace, stability, and development in the region.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the UNDP delegation to review the progress of the program’s various projects and initiatives.

As a result, the UNDP and the provincial government will continue to collaborate closely to achieve their shared goal of improving public welfare in the merged areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
