Water Table Drops Significantly in Mansehra District

MANSEHRA: Amina Waheed, the Xen of the Public Health Engineering Department, has reported a significant drop in the water table in urban areas of the Mansehra district.

Despite the lack of financial and other resources, Waheed has assured that all water schemes implemented by her department are functional, ensuring uninterrupted water supply across the district.

This was disclosed during an oath-taking ceremony for the workers’ union of the Oghi tehsil municipal administration, which was attended by Tehsil Council Chairman Nawabzada Haysam Khan.

Khan revealed that the TMA has removed encroachments from major arteries in the city and suburbs, and the council has evolved a comprehensive plan to develop Oghi city and its suburbs.

He promised to earmark funds for the beautification of the area. Earlier, Amina Waheed administered the oath to the newly-elected workers’ union office-bearers.

New Hospital and Girls’ College in the Mansehra District

In other news, Federal Parliamentary Secretary and MNA Mohammad Sajjad Awan announced the approval of a modern hospital and girls’ college in the Mansehra district.

The MNA disclosed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had approved the development of these facilities, which will be located in areas neglected by the previous PTI government.

He emphasized that the government was committed to providing women with necessary opportunities to excel in life and revealed that the administration had resumed mega development projects abandoned by the previous PTI government, in addition to launching new ones in healthcare, education, electricity, and infrastructure.

According to the MNA, the current federal government had initiated many projects for the development of Tanawal, an area that he claimed the PTI government had neglected.

He also pledged that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s administration was working tirelessly to address the economic crisis caused by the PTI government’s incompetence.
