USF Invites Bids for Broadband Services

Universal Service Funds has invited Internet Service Providers to bid for Broadband Services in three telecom regions.

USF advertisement says that reverse auction bidding process will be conducted for the award of a one-time subsidy to be paid to service provider to assist in meeting the costs of providing Broadband services.
Details of auction process, services to be provided, eligibility to participate in auction, registration instructions, mode of auction, event schedule and other necessary information is available in the three Information Packages for Broadband placed on the USF’s website www.usf.org.pk/ad_bb_3TRs.asp

    • USF motivate telecom and ISPs to provide services in those areas where their business may not be feasible in normal situations. Such as far and less developed areas, less dense areas, hilly mountains etc…

      In this regards, USF provides subsidiary (financial help) in setting up telecom or broadband services.

      Above bidding is first of its kind for broadband services. In bidding ISPs will bid the amount of subsidiary they will require for setting up broadband… and the one who will ask lowest subsidiary will win the project ; – )
