ZONG has announced to contribute to the cause through company contribution, staff contribution and customer contribution.

As a first step ZONG has donated Rs. 1 million in PTV’s Special Telethon Transmission ‘Dard Aashna’ to Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund.

The major part of relief would come from company’s contribution of Rs.10 million for which the Company has lined up a lot of things to help the affectees of floods. ZONG will be distributing food rations and medicines as relief goods. The Company will be setting up 20 FREE PCOs, providing ZONG handsets for 1,000 families, distributing 10,000 SIMS along with free balance in the affected areas for flood victims to get information; seek help and be in touch with loved ones.

As a part of staff contribution, ZONG’s employees will be donating salary of one day for flood victims. Apart from this, staff will also be volunteering in flood relief programs which will be identified by Human Resource department of ZONG. Salman Wassay Head of Marketing, ZONG conveys his thoughts by saying,

“Our beloved land is once again struck by this calamity and we are saddened to see the condition of our fellow citizens. ZONG realizes its duty and will play its part in improving the condition of the flood affected people through carrying out various relief efforts.

ZONG being a Chinese investment is an epitome of true friendship between Pakistan and China. This indeed will be commendable gesture on part of China to extend support to its longtime friend Pakistan through ZONG.”
