Warid Telecom Helps Deserving GC University Lahore Students

In-line with its corporate social responsibility, Warid GLOW this year again supports deserving Government College University students by donating Rs. 800,000 for GCU Endowment Fund Trust (GCU EFT).

Mr. Amer Aman, Warid Head of Sales and Distribution handed over the cheque to GCU VC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman at a ceremony held at GCU.

Speaking on the occasion, Warid Head of Sales Mr. Amer Aman said “Warid Telecom has always been at the forefront of supporting youth in Pakistan which is the most important part of our country. We always keenly explore the best opportunities to help our young leaders through the platform of our youth centric brand GLOW. The costs of education are rising every year and it needs collective efforts to help the bright students of the society who cannot afford their academic expenses.”

GCU is an international standard institution in Pakistan and it is a privilege to support the bright students of such an esteemed educational institution, he added. He pledged that Warid Telecom would give more donations to GCU Endowment Fund Trust to support its great cause to support youth.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman while giving comments said that the recent economic crunch has greatly affected the institutions of higher learning in Pakistan and companies like Warid Telecom should come forward to support quality education in Pakistan.

    Yup for sure i think they should form a common fund to setup to support any joint cause 2gather

    Above than all i see Warid is on in doing the CSR part far better than others.
