Wateen to Offer 20% Discounts to Students Having ISIC Cards

Wateen-Telecom-New-LogoWateen Telecom recently announced its partnership with the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) Association, to work together to support international students in Pakistan.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two entities under the terms of which Wateen will offer 20% discount every month on all WiMAX line rent to any person with a valid ISIC card for a year.

The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is the globally recognized student identity card, which is exclusively endorsed by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). The ISIC is selected and used by over 4.5 million students globally so that they can avail student facilities in other cities and countries, such as libraries.

Students of recognized universities and colleges from all around the world are eligible for the ISIC card and can become the part of global student community by registering with the ISIC. The card is issued throughout 120 countries, giving students access to over 40,000 benefits worldwide at more than 100,000 locations.

Process:

  • Eligible students can visit www.isic.com.pk and register themselves for the card or they can download the application form and sent it through regular mail.
  • Eligible students will be required to produce copies of their own or their guardian’s along with a letter from their institute confirming their full time student status.
  • Once the application has been approved, the card will be delivered to their address.
  • Students, having ISIC cards, can visit Wateen customer care centers for information related to this promotion.

  • “Eligible students will be required to produce copies of their own or their guardian’s”

What copy? can you check the sense of the sentence..
have a look and make it correct in your post.

  • Pehlay apnay students ko to discount aur subsidy do, International students ko baad me dekhna. Apno ko loot’tay jaa rahe ho tum log, bahr walon ka bara khayal hai. WAH

    • ye subsidy apnay students kay liye he hai.

any student of pakistan can get ISIC card.
      and then get a discount

    • lol.. Saeed bhai ghoor se msg karo yeh card aapke liye hee hain 20% discount aap bhi ley saktay hain 700 rupay mein!

  • Dear Sir/Madam,

As a huge fan of Wateen, to the point, I am afraid to say your PR team is only projecting their foreign concerns, neglecting the regional aspects.

How can you expect a Pakistani student to give 700 Euros (Aprox. Rs. 81,900) for registration to ISIC just to avail aprox. Rs. 144 on your starter wimax package discount. Please stop making fun of Pakistani students and do not lose your dignity.

    Thanks.

    • hi shehzie this card cost you Rs.700 and it is valid for a year and by spending Rs. 700 you can save upto Rs. 3500 annually on your wateen internet connection , i guess this is the best offer for our students.

      you rock wateen

  • its 700 “””EUROS””” not rupees..

    Approximately 81 thousand 900 rupees..

    foolish offer…

if you get the ISIC card for this purpose and pay Rs. 81,900. on starter wimax package you will get 144 rs discount.. means after aproximately 5,667.361111 “months” you will start getting the actual discount of Rs. 144… that’s just sick..

    Wateen’s Public Relation team sucks..

    • its 700 RS and u have to pay it per year………….i have this card and y u think that its 700 euros

    • Dear shehzie, its Rs.700/- here in Pakistan , and even in Europe it cost much less than 700 euro kindly do not spread wrong information

  • correct me if i am wrong..

    https://pk-online.aliveplatform.com/index.php?/wizardSet/validationEmail/relocated/

This is the link of the final page that says “Card price is 700.00 EUR.”

i cant post snap of that page or it would be more clear. on the third step of the registration it says “Rs. 700”, but on the 4th and final step it says 700 EUR.

    Please explain this..
    1. Is it in EUR or Rs. If Rs. why say EUR (a mistake??) (very authentic i guess).
    2. Where it is mentioned that the subscription needs to be renewed every year.
    2. The terms and condition link only opens a blank page. (https://pk-online.aliveplatform.com/index.php?/conditions)
    3. Why there is a need to show pictures of students only partying and not learning/reading/writing… showing students in bathing suits resembles the authenticity of the authority i guess now a days…

Please guide me if I am wrong.

  • ok i have registered… if it is 700 EUR… i m going to get it from you guys.. :-)
