Zong Takes Back SMS Delivery Reports

Headline says it all – following Ufone, Zong has also taken back SMS delivery reports. Thanks to Muhammad Zohair Chohan who notified us about this and wrote following email to ProPakistani

I was wondering from last two days that delivery reports are not appearing when i send SMS from my zong sim. I tried to reset my message settings then i tried by changing the handset but all in vain…

Then i called the helpline, where first the CSR asked me that have you checked your settings, when i assured him that i have the correct settings he checked his system and said that sir your messages are being sent, i have checked in the system.

I asked him then why i am not getting any delivery reports, he told my then again by confirming from his senior that ZONG has disabled the delivery report function to provide you better service.

When i asked him that how can i get to know that the person whom i sent the message actually got it, did i have to call after sending sms and then ask him “Did you got my message”
