It was due to the efforts of Faisal Chohan, a TED 2009 Fellow, that TEDIndia Fellowship opened its doors for the people of Pakistan. Now, as the results are out, 103 TEDIndia Fellows are selected out of which 5 are Pakistanis. These 5 Pakistanis will attend TEDIndia event in November at Infosys Campus Mysore.
For those who don’t know what TED is, here is a brief description for them:
TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader. The annual conference now brings together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).
