It is indeed an unfortunate moment to report that official website of federal ministry of information technology and telecom is promoting a commercial website that is primarily a buy/sell portal for used and new cars, in addition to education that they offer for car drivers.
MoITT wasn’t contended to favor this website with a banner or link, instead MoITT website dedicated a whole separate webpage to promote this car buy/sell portal i.e. car4u.com.pk, Even worse – yes keep reading – they have uploaded the company profile (a PDF File) to MoITT servers (the WTH moment of the year).

We tried our best to get to someone at car4u.com.pk to know about the company or their services and reason for their publicity on a state website, but we were unable to grab any contact number. They haven’t mentioned any phone number on contact us page too.
Concerned officials of MoITT refrained from commenting on it.
However, whois record at PKNIC revealed that Mr. Sakib Berjees Tahir is the COO of car4u.com.pk. Following is the screenshot:
Further social engineering revealed that Sakib Berjees (Tahir) is son of Ch. Muhammad Berjees Tahir, a national assembly member from PML(N), who has been the Chairman for Standing Committee on Information and Technology.
Furthermore a news appearing on The News revealed that Mian Shahbaz Sharif recently inaugurated car4u.com.pk in a ceremony at Arfa Software Technology Park in Lahore. Mr. Umar Saif was also present at the event and so was Mr. Sakib Berjess Tahir.
I am not debating on why these high level politicians and rich elite of the country are helping each other, which is very much fine with me – they can do whatever they want to – but advertising a commercial company on a government website? Are they out of their minds or what?
Just to mention, Pakistan is trying to sell 3G licenses for which they are targeting international vendors. And it is very likely that they will visit MoIT website to better know Pakistan’s IT and telecom market. But what impression those foreign companies will get after seeing such a advertisement on MoIT’s website?
On a related note car4u.com.pk is copying/stealing content from PakWheels.com – a famous vehicle buy/sell portal in Pakistan.
PakWheels.com told me that they are depressed to know that Shahbaz Sharif and MoIT is encouraging a website which is illegally violating copyrights by lifting content from other websites. It said that they are considering legal action against car4.com.pk.
Update:
It maybe recalled that content management and development of all government websites is managed by Electronic Government Directorate which works under Federal Secretary. Also to mention here that all government websites are hosted with NTC, with redundant servers located in USA.

Also if you bringing law then be advised that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

There is nothing great about domain name or nothing great about design or even the backend apparently! i wonder with the amount of money they must have invested, what a cess pool of mess they mustered. They must claim full refund from whoever developed and designed the site and kickout the person who gave the idea to register this awful domain.
If you want to be great mind, then think out of spectrum and design and build intuitive layout, with powerful backend and some pretty brandable domain, lastly, don’t resort to muscle your way into Govt or Educational websites just to gather some PR juice, it is sort of link manipulation and falls int blackhat tactics.
Lastly, i will appreciate if your great minds do not resort to copying listings and images from other websites, you should probably invest your pretty penny advertising on Google adwords, Facebook or even T.V. I hope the great minds got the point!

What can one expect from people in power ? They have ruined everything. This is just a website and using official website for personal gain is nothing when billions are being looted and people are being killed all over Pakistan.
PPP, PMLN, MQM, JUIF etc are all one big party. They rule over us and that’s a bitter reality.
Btw there are numerous websites that keep appearing and disappearing every year.
Pakwheels is the king of cars website in pakistan by a long margin.
It is here because it was not started for commercial reasons initially although it does make money now from advertisements and paid car ads.
And I am not related to pakwheels :p
currently i am abroad but really i am also considering to start IT consultancy business from Arfa Softwrae Technology park plateform to work for my own country,to reveal hidden potential,will these politician support us also ?

Our only current focus point we have is driving education. We started this website because of 47 innocent children who lost their lives at M2 Last year. This is the reason we dedicated this website to them.
We have given the best website to the people of Pakistan at our own cost and we have not register this venture as a charitable or NGO but private limited company which will pay taxes in pakistan and encourage and promote e-commerce and entrepreneurial culture which will in turn address poverty many other issues.

I have visited your website and I like it the way you ppl are spreading the information.
What I have in mind.
1. As Pakwheels is largest website user may upload his image on that site first and then can post advertisements on other sites as well so I dont think classifieds ads matters that much. (However if team is copying/pasting advertisements from other websites its copyright infragement)
2. I guess the only point Admin has represent is why MOIT is representing this website and if they are officially supporting C4U why they have now removed the link of C4U from their website…. it seems something is fishy
You are portraying your site as if you are doing some great favour to the nation and everyone is indebted to you. By registering with concerned authorities and following the laws you are not doing us a favour it is what you are suppose to do as a business.

Well… why such a fuzz, we as a nation have a very poor and a short memory, in couple of days, you shall have forgotten all of this, so what? the guy made a BASIC mistake by using copyrighted image(i believe it must be the data entry operator or developer).
