Mobilink Foundation in collaboration with Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) organized the ‘Mobilink Road Safety Painting Competition’ at the Open Air Theater Shakarparian, Islamabad.

The painting competition was aimed at increasing the awareness about road safety to encourage a traffic rules savvy generation.

Hundreds of children from Government and private schools of the twin cities took part in the competition.

Participating students were asked to use their imagination to visually depict simple yet critical topics related to road safety and associated hazards using the medium of art.

A unique feature of the event was the involvement of special children who shared their perspectives on the need for safety measures specifically designed for those with special needs.

Omar Manzur, Head of Corporate Communication Mobilink praised the art of the school children and encouraged them to learn about road safety measures.

Speaking to the audience Omar said, “Every year thousands of people are affected by road accidents, and much of this distress can be prevented by exercising a little care and vigilance. With this initiative, these young children have helped Mobilink Foundation and ITP share a public service message to educate our citizens towards preventing loss of life and increasing awareness in the public.”
