Following a regional campaign to showcase its partnership with Liga de Futbol Profesional (LFP), Huawei has announced Imran Rassaq, 27; Adnan Ibrahim, 23 and Aamir Khan, 26 as the three Pakistani winner of its competition.

After beating out hundreds of other football fans, the three winners will be travelling to Spain to watch LFP tournament next month.

Earlier this year Huawei launched a regional campaign aimed at rewarding football fans with the opportunity to win a grand prize of a trip to Spain with a friend to watch an LFP football game. Consumers then had to compete against each other in a Facebook Football game application to determine the country winner.

This regional campaign was developed following the announcement of Huawei’s contract with Liga De Fútbol Profesional (LFP) in December 2013, which saw the company become LFP’s official global technology partner.

Ashraf Fawakherji, Vice President of Huawei Device Middle East said: “I want to congratulate Imran, Adnan and Aamir as the Pakistan winners of the LFP competition and wish him all the best on his trip to Spain. We developed this creative regional campaign as a way to engage with the hordes of football fans that live in the Middle East, through their love of the sport.”

Last year Huawei invested in its global sports marketing program, signing a premium sponsorship agreement with both AC Milan and Arsenal becoming the official Mobile Partner and supplier of the communications solutions for the Premier League Football Clubs.

Last year Huawei also stepped up as the leading sponsor of the Huawei 5th GCC National Teams Under 23 Football Championship and as a supporting partner of the popular Al Roudan Football Tournament 2013. Huawei has also sponsored the Twister Duo aerobatic team at last year’s popular Al Ain Aerobatic Airshow, one of the region’s most widely anticipated aerobatic events held in Al Ain.
