He joined the industry back in 2008 when he started working with Telenor. After 4 years of service and learning from a culturally sound organization he took up the challenge when he made a lateral move to Mobilink and went up to being promoted as Manager Corporate Communications, where he managed internal and external communications functionsĀ for the company.

However, now he has quit his lucrative day job to put his efforts behind hisĀ own startup calledĀ “Wordsmith” that providesĀ an end to end marketing and communication solutions, with service offerings includingĀ Content Development, Public RelationsĀ & Communications, Events and Activations, Internal Communication Campaigns, InteractiveĀ Design & Creatives and Digital Media.

We talked with Sohaib and here’s what he had to say:

My journey in the telecom industry really has been a roller-coaster ride. I have been fortunate enough to work with Syed Hasnat Masood, the first Director Comms at Telenor with a wonderful team and manager in form of Areej Khan and Affan Haider and of course the charismatic Anjum Rahman.

Later I moved into a very challenging role under the mentorship of Omar Manzur from whom I learnt a lot.

I am glad that my 7 years in the Telecom Sector ended with the biggest ever project in the industry that of Mobilink Warid merger. I thank team Mobilink for their support and I wish all the success to them and the industry.

  • Good for Shoaib Mustafa ,,,,a good decision before the people merger when employees of Warid & Mobilink are goanna be fired and hired.
