iNew, the newest smartphone player in Pakistan, is ready to bring two new budget smartphones in the local market very soon. The company has recently started the teaser campaign on social media by giving the hints about model numbers and their salient features.
The new budget devices will be L3 and U5.
iNew L3:
The first one is an elegant smartphone with double edge glass, fairly similar to what Sony does with its Xperia range. As per the information available on internet, both sides of glass are well protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and the frame is made of aluminum. The Nano-coating thing makes it splash proof, which is totally different from water proof, so don’t just throw it in the water.
It packs a 5” IPS OGS display with a 720p resolution. OGS or One Glass Solution makes the screen more responsive, however it makes it more prone to damage. On the inside it comes with a 64Bit quad core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB on-board storage. A duo of 13MP and 5MP Sony Lenses are there to suffice the photography needs.
This dual SIM smartphone is 4G LTE ready and will support both 4G networks in Pakistan. It is also equipped with IR Blaster, and doubles as the remote control for most of home appliances. The phone is packed with a 2150mAh battery and runs on Android Lollipop OS.
There is no word on the pricing but we can assume that it will go on sale for around Rs. 21,000.

iNew U5:
The second device, U5 is mid-range phone that brings the 4G experience for masses. It will be launched with an approximate price of Rs. 13,000 and support Dual SIM 4G LTE networks. Most of the specs of this phone are similar to L3, however the processor is clocked at a lower speed of 1GHz. The camera combination for U5 is 8MP and 2MP and it also comes with the IR Blaster. U5 is packed with a rather bigger 2300mAh battery and runs Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box.
As compared to the previous generation of iNew smartphones the newest ones looks much elegant and provide better bang for the buck. We will try to review these devices for you in the coming month.

well , apart from the fact that MTK are really possessive about the source code … all their recent and upcoming CPUs are tremendous !
if u haven’t already , go see how the 6752 (it was released early 2015) beats SD 615 and even their quad cores 6732 and 6735 are quite decent when compared to their SD counterpart (SD 410). moving a bit higher , the Helio x10 and x20 are world beaters … the only CPU that may match the x20 is the upcoming SD 820 and thats a big if !
oh , and above all , they don’t double as portable heaters , iykwim :D
L3 apparently has the camera setup that merits a flagship grade … BUT lack of reviews means there are no hard facts about the actual camera results and quality.
it’s be better if Propk reviewed these first , ESP the L3 since iNew made some bold claims about the phone.
